Phuthuma’s energy and perseverance drives the group and management team. During his nine year tenure as CEO of MTN (the sixth largest company on the JSE), MTN’s market capitalisation grew from R20 Billion to well over R250 Billion. He holds a BSc Civil Engineering (Ohio State) and a Master of Business Administration (Atlanta). Phuthuma is currently the Non Executive Chairman at MTN Group, with other past directorships including the Nedbank Group, BP PLC, Anglo American PLC, Old Mutual SA, Johnnic Holdings, Bidvest Group and Alexander Forbes.

His 15 years’ experience post completion of articles is predominantly in Mining experience includes coal, diamonds, phosphates and commodities trading. His most recent endeavour was driving the successful take-over of Memtar Limited, a JSE listed company where he held the Group CFO position, by Traxys Group, a USA headquartered company controlled by the Carlyle Group. He secured his CTA in the University of Natal (Durban), completed his articles with Ernst and Young and qualified as a chartered accountant in 2001. Sizwe also holds an MBA from the University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business.

Alan has over 40 years’ experience in and leadership of a broad spectrum of business activities, both corporate and operational. He has had overall direct responsibility for listed and unlisted businesses which include manufacturing, wholesale distribution of industrial and consumer products, various aspects of the motor industry, large-scale furniture retailing, property and construction. He has presided over a number of turnaround projects. Alan has a B. Com degree and a Diploma in Advanced Financial Management. He has held various non-executive directorships, often for extended periods, that include a number of JSE listed companies. He has been chairman or member of remuneration committees, investment committees, audit and risk committees and social and ethics committees of public and large private companies.

Jacko stepped down as Group Chief Executive of Standard Bank in March 2013 after more than 13 years at the helm of Africa’s largest bank which operates in 18 countries on the continent. After a cooling off period of almost 4 years, he was appointed non-executive Deputy Chairman of Standard Bank in November 2016.  He is also non-executive Chairman of Liberty Holdings Limited, Standard Bank’s listed life insurance and asset management subsidiary. Jacko is a former Deputy Chairman of Business Leadership South Africa (BLSA).  He is also a former Vice President of Business Unity South Africa (BUSA) Jacko is a member of the International Advisory Council of China Investment Corporation (CIC) and a former member of board of the Institute of International Finance and the International Monetary Conference. After obtaining a Bachelor of Commerce (cum laude) degree from Stellenbosch University he studied at Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar where he graduated in 1980 with a first-class M.A. degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics.

He was chairman of KPMG South Africa and later became CEO, Chairman of KPMG Africa and member of KPMG International board. Moses is a qualified chartered accountants, Hons B.Compt from Unisa and Executive Development Programme from Gibs. He is a former chairman of Accounting Practice Board, member of IFRS advisory council and SAICA board. He served on the boards of Imperial Holding Limited, Alexander Forbes Limited, AECI Limited, Famous Brand Limited Massmart Limited and Transaction Capital limited where he chaired some of the audit committees. Sindi Mabaso-Koyana, is currently the Chairperson of AIH (Pty) Ltd, an Investment Holdings company for The African Women Chartered Accountants. She is also the Chairperson of the Advanced Group of Companies which is invested in Mining Services. Sindi is a Chartered Accountant by profession with experience in the public and private sector. Her illustrious career includes being Managing Director of Viamax Logistics, Group CFO of Transnet, Executive Partner at Ernst & Young, Chairperson of the Armaments Corporation of South Africa and the Chairperson of the FIFA Audit and Compliance Committee. She has served on a number of boards including Transnet, SAA, South African Institute of Chartered Accountants, MTN, SANRAL, Altron Group and a few others. Her current board positions include Adcorp Holdings LTD, MTN Zakhele LTD and Toyota SA. She  is  the  Founder  Member and  Former President  of  African  Women  Chartered  Accountants(AWCA). She now chairs the Advisory Board of AWCA. Sindi is a renowned leader and champion in growth and development of young women. Sindi has been named one of the Top 20 Most Powerful Women in South Africa and was a Finalist for the Business Woman Award of South Africa in 2004. Sindi was, in 2013 nominated by The CEO Magazine’s Most Influential Women in Business and Public Sector. She was the Chairperson of the task team of The South African Institute of Chartered Accountants which launched the paper on Meaningful Reporting on Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) and is now the Chairperson of the Chartered Accountancy Sector Charter. Fradreck Shoko (“Frad”) is a Senior Banker and Head of the Global Consumer sector team in Standard Bank’s Corporate and Investment Banking Division. Frad is an accomplished and trusted advisor who has acted on many complex transactions across geographies, industries and product sets. Frad has over 20 years’ experience in cross-border and intra-market transactions including mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, transaction structuring, BEE and valuations. Frad joined Standard Bank in 2009 as Head of the Africa Corporate Finance Team and subsequently assumed responsibility for the Global Corporate Finance Team. In this role, Frad led a number of high profile transactions including AB InBev’s acquisition of SABMiller, successful defence of PPC in unsolicited approaches, AB InBev sale of 26.4% stake in Distell, IPO of Telkom SA, IPO of MTN Uganda and MTN Nigeria, sale of MTN SAs’ Towers, acquisition of Stanbic IBTC by Standard Bank and the merger of Phembani and Shanduka. Frad also advised on several of South Africa’s leading BEE transactions including, CCBA, Sasol, Standard Bank, Nedbank, Liberty and Sanlam. Prior to Standard Bank, Frad worked as a Corporate Financier at JPMorgan and Credit Suisse First Boston. Frad is a Rhodes Scholar and holds a Bachelor of Bachelor of Accounting Science (SA) degree as well as an MPhil in Management Studies (OXON) degree. Frad is a qualified Chartered Management Accountant (UK).
